Most of the surveyed ski slopes indicated that a constant temperature of at least -3 degrees is required for snow production.
On the other hand, representatives of “Ozolkalns” told the LETA agency that at least three days with at least -5 degrees are needed to prepare the first ski tracks and lift roads.
At the same time, the representatives of the ski hill “Lemberg hüte” said that in order to prepare the necessary layer of snow for at least part of the slopes of the ski hill with snow blowers, at least four or five days are needed with temperatures constantly below -4 degrees.
Meanwhile, the representatives of the ski track “Milzkalns” announced that they are currently still working on building a team and completing other preparatory work, such as preparing lifts, preparing equipment, and maintaining equipment.
On the other hand, when asked about the news of this season, the representatives of “Milzkalns” said that partially new equipment was purchased, the ski slope cafe got a new interior design, and another self-service ticket office is planned to be installed.
The representatives of “Ozolkalnas” indicated that this season, too, it is planned to offer joint lift tickets with the neighboring “Žagarkalnas” to visitors on weekends, which will be connected by a running ski bus.
In addition, the representatives of “Žagarkalns” noted that it is planned to increase the number of snow generators, which will give the opportunity to cover the tracks with snow faster.
On the other hand, “Lemberg hüte” stated about this season’s news that the starting area of the beginner’s track will be improved on the ski hill.
