The new ace up the sleeve of Skoda in the electric SUV category it is the Elroq. Positioned in the C segment, the new model from the Bohemian company has similar proportions to the Karoq and will arrive in dealerships in the first quarter of 2025.
Once on the market, it will be one of the most interesting compact SUVs on the list, with a prezzo starting price of around 34,000 euros.

4.49 meters long and equipped with a wheelbase of 2.77 m, the Elroq takes up the stylistic language “Modern Solid” of the Bohemian company and, in particular, what is seen on the most recent models. The rear, in fact, recalls the Enyaq and the Karoq, while the front actually presents a new look.

In place of the traditional grille, we find a simpler style, with a completely reinterpreted minimalist lighting signature and the replacement of the legendary emblem of the house with the name spelled out letter by letter.
Overall, the shapes are aerodynamic, with Skoda claiming a Cx of only 0.26, obtained thanks to a design with attention to detail, such as the shape of the mirrors and the presence of the front cooling system which opens and closes according to the needs of the battery.

Well-kept and minimalist interiorwith a dashboard with simple, modern lines and characterized by new generation eco-sustainable materials. The new steering wheel features the “Skoda” writing and the on-board instrumentation is complete, with the digital instrument panel “drowned” in the dashboard and the display dell’infotainment cantilevered from 13″with the latter featuring the same interface seen on the Superb, Kodiaq and Enyaq systems.
In addition to the infotainment screen, on the Elroq features a bar of physical buttons that give you quick access to comfort functions, driving modes and climate controls. Also available as an option is an augmented reality head-up display that can show speed, road signs, cruise control and navigation.

On the subject of upholstery, the seats are made of “vegan” leather and RecyTitan fabrics. The plastics are made up of 78% recycled PET and, for the first time, the brand incorporates recycled fibers through high-tech processes that combine circularity with safe chemical treatments.

There is no shortage of “Simply Clever” solutions, such as the tray for storing a tablet or the glove compartment for rear passengers, in addition to the various compartments for a total of 48 liters of capacity.
Il trunk 470 liters, which can reach 1,580 liters when the seats are folded down, is equipped with a double bottom and a shelf for storing charging cables.

Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Elroq is equipped with three different types of battery, depending on the version. The Elroq 50, the basic version, is equipped with a rear engine powered by a 55 kWh batterywith a declared autonomy of 370 km and a power of 168 HP. The Elroq 60 is also rear-wheel drive, with a 63 kWha range of 400 km and 204 hp.

In addition to the two versions with a smaller battery, there are two others with a 82 kWh both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive Elroq 85 has an output of 286 HP, while the all-wheel drive version, the Elroq 85x, has an additional motor on the front axle which, combined with the rear one, provides 299 HP and a range of up to 560 km.

I Skoda Elroq prices they start from 34,500 euros, a price list slightly higher than that of the Karoq (from 31,950 euros with the 1.0 petrol 116 HP in Selection trim). The official configurator will be put online on October 2nd.
