Skoda Enyaq enters the Modern Solid design era of the Czech manufacturer with the help of a substantial facelift, which not only refreshes the car’s appearance, but also brings aerodynamic, technical and technological improvements.
With this update, the biggest electric model in the Skoda range gets a new front, dominated by a new grille finished in gloss black and the optical blocks now divided into two separate bodies, with the daytime running lights mounted above the main headlights.
On the sides we will find new models of rims, with sizes between 19 and 21 inches, and in the rear the taillights have been redesigned. Moreover, Skoda boasts very good aerodynamic coefficients for the Enyaq and its coupe version – 0.245 and 0.225 respectively. Customers who want a more aggressive look will have the Sport Line equipment level at their disposal.
The interior has been updated with new materials and technologies
The Enyaq’s cabin has been updated with new materials and technologies, while the design has been slightly tweaked but remains familiar. The interior offers space for up to five occupants, and the boot has values between 585 and 1,710 liters (Enyaq)/ 570 and 1,610 liters (Enyaq coupe).
As standard, the cars are equipped with a digital dashboard measuring 5 inches diagonally, accompanied by a 13-inch central display. Optionally, customers can choose a head-up display with augmented reality. Other standard features on the new Enyaq are a heated steering wheel with a new design, heated seats, three-zone climate control and a keyless entry system.
Customers can also now choose from six types of upholstery for their car’s interior via Design Selection, which offers a wider range of colours, materials and textures.
The Skoda Enyaq will now be able to travel over 590 km on a single charge
The two body styles in which the Skoda Enyaq is available will be available with two battery sizes and three drivetrain versions, one of which is all-wheel drive.
The base version, called the Enyaq 60, uses a 63 kWh battery that powers a 204 hp and 310 Nm electric motor. Next in the range is the Enyaq 85 version, which also uses a single electric motor, but which produces 286 hp and 545 Nm. The battery capacity also increases to 82 kWh. The top of the range, the Enyaq 85x, uses two motors, which gives the cars all-wheel drive.
The 63 kWh battery can be charged with up to 165 kW, while the 82 kWh battery can be charged with a maximum of 175 kWh. This means the larger battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes at DC fast charging stations. The Enyaq 60 can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 24 minutes. All models charge up to 11 kW at AC charging stations.
Orders for the new Enyaq open in key European markets on January 9, with prices starting at around €44,000.
