Skoda’s electric car is back with an even prettier large SUV, better finished and at the price of Tesla Model Y

Five years have passed since Skoda put its first electric car on sale, the Skoda Enyaq, so the Czech SUV had to be renewed and it has done it twice because the update reaches both versions of the range: the Enyaq (Skoda calls it Enyaq SUV ) and the more dynamic-looking Enyaq Coupé.

The update affects both variants in the same way: its exterior design changes, but the interior is practically identical to that of the previous model. In the technical section, it maintains the power levels it had until now, but improves autonomy thanks to the new design, which is more aerodynamic.

Up to 589 km of autonomy in the best of cases

What changes the most in the new Enyaq is the front: it now reminds (a lot) of its little brother, the recently arrived Skoda Elroq. They change the headlights, which are LED, the grill and the bumper. It also debuts exterior colors and wheels. From behind it hardly changes and its dimensions are the same, so it continues measuring 4.68 meters longboth with conventional and coupe-style bodywork.

Inside there are hardly any differences with the previous model, but there are new upholstery options (new color combinations) and the standard equipment improves from the entry version.

From the basic trim it has heated front seats, heated steering wheel, KESSY Advanced system with opening functions when approaching and locking while driving, three-zone climate control, Side Assist, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (pACC) or the traffic jam assistant. In addition, you can incorporate the new Remote Parking Assistant and Trained Remote Parking.

The range, both in the Enyaq SUV and in the Coupé, is made up of three versionsat least for now: 60 (204 HP, rear-wheel drive, 59 kWh battery and 433 km of autonomy), 85 (286 HP, rear-wheel drive, 77 kWh battery and 580 km of autonomy) and 85X (286 HP, rear-wheel drive total, 77 kWh battery and 543 km of autonomy).

The maximum charging power also changes in each version: in the 60 it is 165 kW, in the 85 it is 135 kW and in the 85X it is 175 kW (in all cases in direct current).

For now, all versions are linked to the Base finish, except the 85, which can be chosen with the Base finish or the Sportline. Later the range should be expanded with the RS.

On the outside it is strange, but on the inside this Skoda Enyaq converted into a camper van has absolutely everything

The starting price of the new Skoda Enyaq is 44.550 euros for the SUV 60 Base variant, that is, it is 60 euros more expensive than the Tesla Model Y basic 299 hp and rear-wheel drive. For its part, the Enyaq Coupé starts at 46,850 euros.
