November is shaping up to be a fantastic month for SkyShowtime subscribers! The platform has prepared a real feast for lovers of series and films, serving both long-awaited sequels to hits as well as premieres of new, intriguing productions.
Fans of strong thrills will certainly be happy with the return of “Lioness”. In the second season of this spy thriller, created by Taylor Sheridan, we will once again immerse ourselves in the dangerous world of CIA agent Joe (Zoe Saldana), who balances her personal and professional life while fighting terrorism. The all-star cast, led by Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman, completes the whole. Will this series be as successful or maybe even better than the first one?

On the same day, the platform will also debut the dark, Scandinavian crime story “The Darkness”, which is probably not talked about enough. Based on the best-selling series by Ragnar Jónasson, the series tells the story of detective Hulda Hermannsdóttir (Lena Olin) as she faces the final challenge of her career. Forced to cooperate with a new partner, she must solve the mystery of a shocking murder while facing her own demons. Filmed in atmospheric Reykjavik and starring Oscar nominee Lena Olin, “The Darkness” may be the dark horse of the coming month.
Fans of Westerns and stories about the American countryside cannot miss the continuation of probably SkyShowtime’s greatest production: “Yellowstone”. In the second part of the fifth season, which will appear on the platform on November 14, the Dutton family will once again face adversity. Broken alliances, unsolved crimes and power struggles are just some of the problems they will have to face. SkyShowtime will also take us on a journey to the world of drilling rigs in Texas – this is another promising series from Taylor Sheridan. “Landman: The Negotiator” is a contemporary story about the search for happiness and fulfillment in the brutal reality of the oil industry. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, the series shows the conflict between workers and billionaires who influence the fate of the world with their decisions.
The platform will also feature new films. On November 2, “What Happens Next” will appear – a romantic comedy with Meg Ryan and David Duchovny in the main roles. The film tells the story of two former lovers who meet after many years at a snow-covered airport. The reception from critics was not very good, but maybe someone will like this duet? Horror fans should mark November 18 in their calendars – that’s when “Abigail” will debut on SkyShowtime – a bloody thriller about a group of kidnappers who fall victim to a mysterious 12-year-old girl. The film was produced by the creators of “Scream” (2022).
At the end of November, the platform prepared a family production called “Fantastic Creatures”, which debuted in cinemas somewhat unnoticed, but the team behind it and the story itself can quickly convince you to watch it. The touching film, directed by John Krasinski, tells the story of a girl who can see imaginary friends and stars Ryan Reynolds himself.
