The Montreal Canadiens ended their six-game losing streak in the NHL. Slovakian forward Juraj Slafkovský also contributed to Monday’s 7:5 victory on the ice of the Buffalo Sabres, who scored three assists, which he did in the NHL for the first time.

Montreal recorded its fifth triumph of the season and reached the limit of 12 points. Thus, Nashville skipped and no longer had the worst record in the league, but the Predators still had a duel on the ice of Colorado at night. The Sabers did not continue their three-game winning streak.
Slafkovský first passed Nick Suzuki twice for a goal in the last minute of the second period, and Montreal turned the score from 2:3 to 4:3 with two goals within 22 seconds.
First, the Slovak player found the captain of his team on the wing from the center of the attacking third and soon after he managed to pass with a backhand from behind the goal, ideally into the area in front of the goal.
In a game full of twists and turns, Buffalo regained the lead at the beginning of the third period, but the Canadiens scored the winning goal to make it 6-5 on the power play in the 53rd minute, when Cole Caufield made a pass and passed to Slafkovský.
