Qualcomm’s expected flagship system chip reaches up to 10,000 points in multi-core tasks, according to leaked images.
Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is expected to be released during the fall – possibly at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii – and now the chip has allegedly been spotted in Geekbench leaks of the yet-to-be-released OnePlus 13 smartphone as well.
In the screenshots, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 reaches over 3200 points in Geekbench for single-core tasks and even more than 10,000 points for multi-core tasks. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is said to have eight cores, two of which run at 4.32 GHz and six at 3.53 GHz, and its graphics processor is said to be a 1.25 GHz Adreno 830. GSMArena’s news, however, reminds us of the possible inaccuracy of the images, as the corresponding the clock frequencies would heat up the circuit quickly in a phone where the cooling power is limited. For comparison, the OnePlus 12 scored 2205 and 6633 points in the January io-tech test in the single and multi-core tests.
Official information and test results for both Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and OnePlus 13 may be available in October.
