Snikus with “King of the Dance” received a rating of 79.167%, beating previous leader Roxana Trannell of the USA, who scored 78.000% with “Fan Tastico H” in the final dressage alone. The bronze award was won by the Italian Sara Morganti with “Mariebelle”, receiving a score of 74.625%.
The owners of the eight best results out of 22 para-athletes qualified for the upcoming freestyle competition on Saturday.
Snikus won silver medals in both of these disciplines with the “King of the Dance” at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
Latvian para-athletes won two gold medals on Tuesday, as para-athlete Diāna Krūmiņa became the Paralympic javelin champion earlier today. On Sunday, Aigars Apinis won the silver medal in the discus throw.
The Paris Paralympic Games will take place until September 8, with Latvians competing in athletics, paralympic dressage, cycling, swimming and shooting.
22 sports are represented in the Paralympic Games, in which about 4,400 athletes compete.
