Complete development of 70t class by 2027, full-scale mass production
SNT Dynamics is the first in Korea to independently develop a next-generation, ultra-large self-driving mobility platform.
We plan to complete the development of a 70-ton self-driving mobility platform for construction logistics by 2027 and begin full-scale mass production.
SNT Dynamics, which was selected as the lead agency for the national development task in this field, held a development launch meeting at the end of October and began platform development.

According to the company, this platform is a next-generation electric driving system used in multi-purpose logistics mobility such as large-capacity construction, ports, and aviation, and IGV (Intelligent Guided Vehicle).
Future core technologies such as autonomous driving through a cloud-based control system, artificial intelligence (AI)-based driving algorithm, and cooperative autonomous driving between vehicles are applied.
Previously, since its establishment in 1959, SNT Dynamics has developed and produced powertrains such as automatic transmissions for ultra-precision defense tracked vehicles, medium-to-large caliber firearms, and transmissions and axles for trucks and buses.
Next-generation technology based on the technology accumulated through the development of the world’s first 1500~1700 horsepower 6-speed automatic transmission for heavy tanks, Korea’s first CNC controller for machine tools, and Korea’s first e-Drive unit for GM’s electric vehicle Bolt. We plan to lead the ultra-large autonomous mobility industry ecosystem.
In particular, with support from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Technology Planning and Evaluation (KEIT), we plan to increase development efficiency and completeness by combining intellectual property with industry-academia-research institutes related to future industrial technologies such as autonomous driving and artificial intelligence (AI).
An official from SNT Dynamics said, “The ultra-large self-driving mobility platform market is expected to reach $40 billion over the next 10 years, equivalent to 2 trillion won in Korea and 5 billion won globally,” adding, “As a company specializing in electric power pack modules in the self-driving mobility industry ecosystem, “By increasing our development capabilities, we will accelerate innovation as a global top engineering company focused on research and development in the 2030s,” he said.
