Only 1 in every 125 PCs was based on a Snapdragon X processor in the third quarter.

A TechRadar Pro according to his report, the Snapdragon X processor family has not yet produced the expected results, because the for Canalys market research it can be described that 720,000 Qualcomm AI PCs have been used since its release, i.e. one out of every 125 PCs was based on the chip in question. This represents a market share of 0.8%, and sales were basically dominated by the Microsoft Surface.
So far, it is not clear whether customers will reject the Copilot+ PCs themselves, or only the Qualcomm Snapdragon X designs. This is also a question here because Microsoft has not yet provided the Copilot+ functions for the AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Core Ultra 200V series, which means that these machines only meet the Redmond requirements on paper, and their product support is not yet officially considered final.
By the way, it is likely that customers are not looking for Copilot+ functions for the time being anyway, rather the better uptime of the new platforms may be attractive to them, but this may change in the future if AI capabilities are deemed useful by the market.
