So out of nowhere the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro appeared in a live image

Xiaomi always deploys protective shields to keep its upcoming flagships as hidden as possible, but a recent leak may have revealed the first real image of the phone, showing its rear design. Overall the new phone is very similar to the previous models but with some interesting changes.

The latest leak shows the phone in the hands of Xiaomi VP Wang Xiaoyan and we can easily make out the presence of a camera unit with a flash mounted outside of it. Now, we know this could be the Xiaomi 15 Pro because renders of the phone also show a similar design on the back.

The phone is listed in a black color option, but is also expected to come in white and silver variants. The camera unit itself may be getting a hardware upgrade – rumors point to a ceramic build, another departure from the previous series.

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to feature a massive 6.78-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Power could come from the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, likely paired with 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.

Camera-wise, we’re expecting a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.5, along with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens with a 120mm equivalent focal length and 5x lossless zoom

Everything will stay active for hours and that’s thanks to the presence of a 6,000 mAh battery, supported by 80W wireless charging and 90W wired charging.

While these are all speculations based on leaks, rumors also suggest that Xiaomi may be waiting for Qualcomm to officially unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite before the Chinese company pulls the curtain on the Xiaomi 15 series.
