Socar’s gas distribution companies are sold to Aksa

It was reported that AKSA Doğalgaz signed a contract to purchase Bursagaz and Kayserigaz, which are SOCAR Türkiye group companies.

With the completion of the transfer transactions, Bursagaz and Kayserigaz will provide services under the umbrella of AKSA Doğalgaz. According to the information we received from Aksa, it was stated that Bursa and Kayserigaz are important distribution regions and SOCAR preferred Aksa Doğalgaz, but the purchasing process is continuing.

‘WE STARTED 2030 WITH NEW AND STRONG TARGETS’

Making a statement on the subject Aksa Natural Gas Chairman of the Board of Directors Yaşar Arslan pointed out that they have already exceeded the 2025 targets they set in 2015. Arslan said, “We set out with new and strong targets for 2030. We achieve these goals, which reflect our strategy focused on sustainable growth. Bursa and together with Kayserigaz, we will be significantly closer. “I believe that Aksa Doğalgaz will achieve new successes with the synergy of these companies, each of which provides important services in their own region,” he said.

WILL CONCENTRATE ON PETROCHEMISTRY

Thus, withdrawing from the gas distribution business in Turkey SOCAR Türkiyewill focus on the petrochemical sector.
