The solar power plant “B2 Nova Sun” was officially put into operation on August 1, which represents a significant step in the development of renewable energy sources in Serbia. The power plant is located in the industrial part of Nova Crnja, on an area of approximately 13 hectares, directly next to the former sugar factory. This ambitious project, whose power is 9.9 MW, will annually produce around 14,000 megawatt-hours of electricity, significantly contributing to the energy stability of the country.
To build this solar power plants 16,820 bifacial panels from the renowned Canadian Solar manufacturer and 100 Fronius Tauro inverters, known for their efficiency and reliability, were used. In order to make the most of the potential of solar energy, the panels were placed on a specially designed structure by the Turkish manufacturer Kirac Metal.
Produced Electricity will be placed in the electricity distribution system, ensuring a stable supply of the settlement of Nova Crnja, as well as the towns of Srpska Crnja and Vojvoda Stepa. This solar power plant will not only contribute to energy security, but will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 15,817 tons annually, which will have a significant positive impact on environmental protection.
Company MT-KOMEX, which was responsible for the construction of “B2 Nova Sun”, has extensive experience in the field of renewable energy sources. So far, they have built and supplied equipment for more than 200 solar power plants on the ground and on roofs, with a total installed power of 140 MW. Their expert team provides support in all phases of the project, from the development stage to the preparation of documentation for technical acceptance and obtaining a use permit, all according to the turnkey principle.
The agreement on the purchase of electricity and the assumption of balance responsibility with the Joint Stock Company “Elektroprivreda Srbije” (EPS) represents an important step for “B2 Nova Sun”. This is one of the first two solar power plants that have signed a contract with EPS for the purchase of electricity and the assumption of balance responsibility in trial and permanent operation for a period of 15 years.
This project not only provides security in the supply of electricity for the local community, but also significantly contributes to the preservation of the environment, making it an example of sustainable development in Serbia.
