On the commodity exchange market, the volume of turnover this week was 1,800 tons of goods. Although, due to the holidays, the working week was shortened, a 54.51% increase in turnover was recorded compared to seven days earlier. The total financial value of traded goods was 42,110,750.00 dinars (+ 58.71%). With a 56% share in the total weekly turnover, wheat took precedence in trading.
Wheat floated to the top again
On the corn market, during the week, an increased supply was noticeable, while the demand was weaker and at a lower price level, compared to the supply. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 18.00 to 19.00 dinars/kg without VAT, with a clear downward price trend as the week progressed. The weighted price was 18.24 din/kg without VAT (20.07 din/kg with VAT), showing a price drop of 3.39%. Corn was also traded at the CPT port parity in the price range from 20.20 to 20.40 din/kg without VAT.
Unlike the previous week, when the wheat market was very calm, this week there was an increase in the activity of all market participants. Exchange contracts were concluded for wheat with min. 13% protein at a single price level of 23.00 din/kg without VAT (25.30 din/kg with VAT), which also represents the price weight. Statistically, the price of wheat is higher by 3.00% compared to seven days earlier.
Other markets are calm like Bačka
The soybean market remains passive this busy week. The offer of soybeans at a price of 54.50 din/kg without VAT, with the calculation of quality, did not result in the conclusion of the contract.
The exchange contract for feed barley HL 62kg was concluded at a price of 21.50 dinars/kg excluding VAT. Further supply of barley during the week was at the same price level, while demand was weaker and at a lower price level.
Sunflower meal with 33% protein was offered at a price of 27.00 din/kg without VAT, while there was no demand.
