Son, you’re an idiot. The descendant of a Czech motor mouse works for a few crowns instead of a career: I can blame myself – Foreign leagues – Football

The name Patrik Gedeon is probably not completely unknown to Slovak fans. The Czech football player was considered by his neighbors as an exemplary player, a motor mouse and an honest member of the team, who does not leave any match.

During his career, he wore the jerseys of Slavia, Blšan and Chomutov and also made a few starts for the Czech national team. At the age of 49, he still plays at the regional level for Černovice.

His son Filip inherited football skills and had a promising career. He played for the youth selections of Sparta, then experienced the arrival of coach Brian Priske.

However, he did not succeed in the traditional Prague team, and then things started to go downhill for him. “I was a young guy in Prague, I had relatively enough money.

I don’t want to say that Sparta spoiled me, but you meet a lot of people, you easily succumb to something. It was quite difficult,” says the still only 22-year-old talented soccer and futsal player, who, according to his own words, did not stop the pitfalls of the big city.

This was followed by a relegation to the third league in the ambitious Ústí nad Labem, but he did not warm up there for long. They accused him of spending a lot of time playing slot machines.

However, Gideon denied this. “The club boss later apologized to me. Things like that should stay in the cabin, he shouldn’t have gone on the internet with it.

In my free time, I like to drink, I also admit that I have a problem with cocaine, but I have never played slots,” he complained in an interview with efotbal.cz.

He tried to restart his career in futsal, and it was the addictive substances that became fatal for him. After a futsal league match between his Chomutov and Slavia, cocaine and its metabolite benzoylecgonine were found in his body.

The verdict? A ban on any organized sports until 2027. According to Gedeon, the doping commissioners played it safe.

“They kept telling us at the club that they would come, but still no one came. And then it happened. I was selected for the test, but someone “bumped” me. I know who directed them, but I’ll keep it to myself.

I also know that it was all my fault. Then when the verdict came, I knew it was a huge “pruser” that would change my life. I’m a moron,” the son of a football player with a reputation as a “role model” pours ashes on his head.

His father Patrik reacted honestly. “He told me – son, you are a fool. But he finally accepted it. He saw that I was going to work, that my whole life had turned around, but I’m struggling with it.”

He currently works in the company of the manager of Chomutov football for three shifts and for a few crowns. “My life has completely changed. When you are a football professional, you don’t realize what it means to go to work.

Because of the punishment, I can not only play, but also train,” added Gedeon, who wants to return to futsal and hopes that the punishment will somehow be shortened.
