Sony released the new 27-inch Inzone M10S and M9 II gaming monitors

The Inzone M10S is based on LG’s WOLED panel and offers a 1440p resolution with a refresh rate of no less than 480 hertz, while the M9 II is a 4K UHD screen with an IPS panel and a 160 hertz refresh rate.

Sony entered the game device market a couple of years ago with its new Inzone brand. Now the company has released new blood to the monitor market in the form of the Inzone M10S and M9 II monitors.

Sony Inzone M10S is a 27-inch WOLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a refresh rate of no less than 480 hertz. The screen reaches a maximum brightness of 1300 nits with the help of LG’s Lens Array+ technology and is DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified. It reproduces 98.5% of the P3 color space and supports 10-bit colors. The variable refresh rate is supported G-Sync Compatible with Adaptive-sync and a response time of 0.03 milliseconds, typical for OLEDs, is promised.

Sony says that it has developed the screen in cooperation with Fnatic, and partly with it, the screen offers, for example, a 24.5″ game mode with 1:1 1332p resolution or a lower 1080p resolution, and the image can then be aligned to the center or bottom of the screen. The FPS Pro+ mode, on the other hand, aims to improve the clarity of the image in the heat of battle and imitate the characteristics of TN panels, whatever that means.

On the connector side, Sony has equipped the M10S with DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connections. The stand of the monitor is also designed in cooperation with Fnatic and grabs space from the table with a diameter of 159 mm in front. The foot provides height, swivel and tilt adjustments.

The Sony Inzone M9 II is also 27 inches, but it is based on a 4K UHD resolution IPS panel instead of a 1440p WOLED. It supports G-Sync Compatible with a maximum refresh rate of 160 hertz and the familiar FALD backlighting technology from Bravia TVs with Backlight scanning technology. The display reproduces 95% of the P3 color space, reaches a maximum brightness of 750 nits and is DisplayHDR 600 certified. The range of connectors also includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 for the M9 II, but Sony points out that the included cable only supports DisplayPort 1.4 speeds.

Sony Inzone M10S and M9 II will go on sale in October. In Finland, the recommended price of the M10S is 1,200 and the M9 II is 1,500 euros.
