Soon the first international Street Movies Festival

The first international Street Movies Festival is maintained from 18 to 22 September 2024. years in Belgradeu Belgrade Youth Center i MTS halls.

Street Movies Festival shows films whose action takes place on city streets, roads, as well as all those in which the city is the main character. If you are a fan of cult classics such as “Naked in the Saddle”, “Mad Max”, “Taxi Driver”, “Thelma and Louise”, “Escape from New York”, “Bulit”, “National Class”, “How Rock and Roll Failed”, and similar, and you like films that go beyond the conventional, the Street Movies Festival is an event you should not miss.
Within 3 competitive programs: King of the Street – the best feature films, Short Road – the best short films and Best Belgrade Short – the best short films about Belgrade, you will have the opportunity to see a selection of 101 films from all over the world of different genres (drama, animated, horror, sci-fi, documentary, …).

The Street Movies Festival will take place at two locations: in the Belgrade Youth Center and the MTS Dvorana. The grand opening is scheduled for September 18, 2024, starting at 8:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Youth Center. He will perform live at the opening Nikola Čuturilo and Zoran Predin with his project “Analogue race” and the audience will have the opportunity to see their latest music video for the premiere. The film will open the festival I don’t need to sleep (Dernier Round) by Moroccan director Muhamed Fekran, a touching story about three boys who go through a series of difficulties on the way to realizing their dreams.

Among the other films at the festival, we single out an unforgettable documentary adventure with a famous skater in a French-Brazilian production. Sunday in Rio with Sergio Santoro (One Week in Rio with Sergio Santoro) directed by Pierre-Jean Dufour (better known as MASALADOSA), a fantastic confession of the film director about his return to his native Italy A dream catcher (The Dream Fisher) by director Lambert Moris, dystopian Inner Changes (Itu Nina) by Mexican director Itandevi Hansen, which elaborates on the potential outcome of climate change in the future, then a sad confession Exchange (Saralish) by Iranian director Yasser Ahmadi, which deals with the problems of underage girls marrying older men and an exciting documentary “road movie” Wanderers (All Who Wander) about the lives of people who cruise the open roads in their campers.

Among the many foreign guests of the festival, you will have the opportunity to meet the three winners of the EMMY award from 2023, John Alexander, JC Guest and Sean Rhodes, who will premiere their film You will see your God (Ur Gunna Get It).

During the festival, numerous supporting programs will be held, among which we highlight the JC Guest workshop entitled “Small” Filmmaking with Big Impact” and the Musicians and Film – Unbreakable panel. Bond).
