Gordon Murray Automotive is preparing to present the most powerful and at the same time final version of its T.33 supercar.
This information was personally confirmed by Gordon Murray during an interview with Autocar and he revealed a few details about the third member of the T.33 line, which arrives after the coupe and the T.33 Spider.
Murray said the model will carry the T.33s designation and will be “more dangerous and focused”. The legendary designer and engineer did not reveal weight and performance figures, but confirmed that it will be a “track-oriented road car” and that it will differ from Niki Lauda’s T.50 and T.50s.
Murray told Autocar that the T.33s will be faster and generate more downforce than the standard version, but there are no details on the changes either. The standard T.33 weighs slightly more than 1,070 kilograms and creates 150 kilograms of downforce at a speed of 242 km/h. Improvements in these figures would mean a more advanced aerodynamic package.
As for the Cosworth’s V12 engine, it should be more powerful than the one in the standard model, which develops 615 hp and 447 Nm of torque, while the rev limiter exceeds 11,100 rpm.
When the car will make its debut has yet to be officially confirmed, but it could happen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2025. Production will be limited, probably to less than 100 units. The price will not be less than 2.5 million dollars.
Murray is preparing another completely different car, which will be based on a new platform and powered by a completely new engine.
