From September, we no longer have to keep our documents with us, it will be enough to take out the phone if the policeman wants to get a certificate.
Available since May Digital Citizenship Program app, which initially took up only the space on our mobile phones with a slight exaggeration, but the government promised that it would gradually expand the functions of the application developed in accordance with the European Union’s digital identity regulation. The DÁP app, which has been released for both iOS and Android, can be downloaded and registered, but for the latter you have to visit a steering window. We can activate the application with the one-time-use code received there, so that updates bringing useful functions can come in the fall.
Csaba Dömötör, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, announced in a video shared on Facebook that the DÁP app is expected to be suitable for verifying ourselves at the police from September, meaning that we do not need to carry our identity card or other appropriate photographic document with us.
Our personal data will be found in one place in the mobile application, and they can be downloaded and forwarded after being authenticated, thus making administration easier. In addition, it will be possible to use the app for digital signatures, and it should be noted that documents created in this way are regarded as authentic private documents and are accepted not only in Hungary, but in all EU member states.
The app will also be suitable for applying for a moral certificate, and we can even book an appointment through it for the most popular customer types – the state secretary added.
