The number of deaths rose to 96 during the early hours of this Sunday after the collision of an aircraft at Muan International Airport, in South Korea, according to local authorities
According to the South Korean agency YonHap news, authorities do not expect to find any more survivors besides the two crew members already rescued.
The incident with the plane that departed from Bangkok, Thailand, happened when it landed at that airport in the south of the country, around 9am local time (0am in Portugal).
Images shared by South Korean television stations show the moment the aircraft collided, which ended up exploding.
There were 175 crew members and six cabin crew members on board the plane.
All flights at Muan International Airport have been canceled while rescue and extrication operations continue.
Authorities are still investigating the causes of the accident.
