Splinter Cell returns, but once again, via collaboration

Get ready to see Sam Fisher very soon. But, once again, it will probably not be through a new, unpublished opus, but in yet another collaboration. Indeed, it would seem that Splinter Cell is about to arrive in the game from Epic Games: Fortnite.

Epic Games intends to carry out all possible collaborations linked to pop culture in its game Fortnite. After countless films and games (with the recent arrival of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe and Johnny Silverhand), it seems that Sam Fisher and Splinter Cell are next on the list of collaborations.

We owe this information to Shiina, a renowned insider and leaker in the Fortnite community. The latter recently indicated on his Twitter / X account that a collaboration between the Epic Games game and the Ubisoft license was in preparation.

A collaboration with Splinter Cell would be on the agenda for Fortnite

For the moment, no more details on this famous collaboration, nor even a possible release window. But there is a good chance that this will happen in the next few weeks. We can already imagine that a Sam Fisher skin with the famous night vision goggles will be available for purchase.

The collaboration nevertheless remains quite surprising since the license Splinter Cell has been at rest for 12 years now. Indeed, the last opus dates back to 2013 with the release of Splinter Cell : Blacklist. On the other hand, Ubisoft is well at work on the development of a remake from the first opus.

Ubisoft could perhaps slowly prepare the return of its license and a collaboration with Fortnite would be an excellent way to relaunch communication and hype around Sam Fisher. According to the latest news (which dates back to October 2024), the development of the Splinter Cell remake is progressing well. Ubisoft Toronto, the developers of the remake consider it “a major project”. As of now, no release window has been announced.
