Spotify: Expensive ‘Deluxe’ Package Coming Soon

THE Spotify has officially confirmed that it plans to launch an even more expensive package than the Premium, which is currently called “Supremium”. This plan will provide higher quality streaming and is still in an early stage of development.

Spotify has announced that it has reached them 246 million subscribers paid in the second quarter of the year (April – June), up 12% compared to Q2 2023. The company added 7 million subscribers compared to the same quarter last year, a number 1 million higher than expectations, with result Spotify stock to increase by 14%.

The total number of monthly active users now stands at 626 million, up 14% compared to the same quarter last year. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said the company will continue to use free packages with ads in developing markets, as “engagement looks different in those markets, as do their acquisition channels and converting them to payers can be it is slower”. Spotify plans to step up its advertising efforts in these areas and add more perks to the free offer.
