Spotify has announced a new feature called Recent. The new feature makes it easier to find listened to content, such as podcasts and music. A boon for subscribers of the streaming service.
With Wrapped 2024 you will probably find out how many hours Spotify has saved you over the past year. During that time, you listen to countless songs, podcasts or even audiobooks, but you probably also regularly search for that one song you heard a few days ago.
For those people, Spotify has a handy new feature with Recents. This makes it possible to find all the songs, albums, artists, podcasts and audiobooks that you have listened to in the past ninety days.
Spotify introduces Recent
With Recent it is possible to listen to that one podcast or give that one album another chance. When you click on your profile photo, a sidebar will open and the Recent tab will appear.
With the arrival of the new feature, another tab, listening history, will disappear. The difference is that your content is stored for up to 90 days and you can use categories. Music, podcasts and audiobooks are therefore displayed separately.
Spotify Wrapped also around the corner
Anyone who opens the Spotify app will be greeted with a Wrapped 2024 notification. Subscribers can listen to the top songs from the past two years again via this notification. So it looks like the streaming service will soon roll out the 2024 version of the feature.
With Wrapped it is possible to see which artists, songs, albums and genres you listened to the most over the past year. It is also often indicated how many minutes you have used the service.
