In her speech, she noted that the current summer camp is not only a meeting between Chinese and African children, but also a clear demonstration of the closeness between China and the African continent.

Peng Liyuan stated that the Chinese and African peoples have always shown mutual understanding and supported each other in their pursuit of happiness and common well-being. She especially emphasized that China is committed to promoting the healthy development and maturation of both Chinese and African children.
Noting that China and Africa will always be sincere friends, Peng Liyuan expressed the hope that all the children in the summer camp will become the successors of the traditional friendship between China and Africa and a new force in building a China-Africa community with a shared future.

Children from South Africa, Namibia, Somalia, Uganda, the Central African Republic and other countries, as well as children from the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province and Ruili City County of Yunnan Province were invited to the summer camp. In addition, representatives of the diplomatic corps of African countries accredited in China were also invited to the event.
