On New Year’s weekend, raids were held in seven districts of St. Petersburg to combat illegal street trading. This was reported by the press service of the Property Control Committee.
The checks were carried out in the Admiralteysky, Vyborgsky, Kalininsky, Krasnoselsky, Moskovsky, Nevsky and Central districts of the city. Among other things, raids took place in the historical center of the Northern capital. Experts checked Nevsky Prospekt, the embankment of the Griboyedov Canal and the area around the main attractions.
As a result, 19 illegal outlets were liquidated.
Thus, seven points selling knitwear products were dismantled near the Prospekt Veteranov metro station, three points selling Christmas tree bouquets near the Prospekt Prosveshcheniya metro station, and seven points selling food products, insoles and other goods without documents near the Prospekt Bolshevikov metro station. On Palace Square they found two illegal outlets with hot drinks and food, stands with souvenirs and advertising excursions.
It was previously reported that in early January several retail outlets were liquidated in the center of St. Petersburg.
