STALKER 2, here is the new patch that fixes 650 bugs

Patch 1.0.1 has been released for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobylavailable on both PC and Xbox (purchasable on Amazon). This first corrective update has fixed over 650 bugs and problems encountered after the game’s launch.

La patch introduce numerous improvements in various areas of the gamewith a focus on artificial intelligence, performance optimization, combat balance, and problem solving in main and side missions. These interventions aim to significantly improve the overall gaming experience for players.

Among the most relevant fixes to artificial intelligence we find:

  • Fixed groups of NPCs being stuck and dying near the Shelter during an active Issue
  • Fixed various issues with NPCs occasionally getting stuck without reaching quest locations
  • Fixed performance drops and potential out-of-memory crashes in crowded NPC areas during long gameplay sessions

As for optimizations, sIssues with invisible NPCs and mutants have been fixed that appeared in the field of view when using the scope, as well as fixing fire visual effects that did not render correctly from certain viewing angles.

Important changes have been made to the overall balance:

  • Reduced the cost of repairing weapons and armor
  • Significantly increased the value of artifacts for sale
  • Increased monetary rewards for most missions by 2 to 3 times
  • Armor and weapon upgrades in Rookie difficulty
  • Moderate reduction in damage dealt by Husks on Rookie difficulty

Various aspects have been rebalanced in combat, such as the life points of different creatures (Bloodsucker, Controller, Burer, Boar, Flesh) and the effectiveness of blows to the head and limbs. The distance of melee combat with weapons has also been significantly increased.

Numerous problems have been resolved in the main and secondary missionssuch as progression blocks, uncompleteable objectives, missing or blocked NPCs. Among the most relevant interventions:

  • Fixed missing interaction with dead Blind Dogs in the “Nightingale’s Hunt” mission
  • Fixed issues in the mission “There and Back Again”, including where the artifact could not be found
  • Fixed various progression blocks in the “Answers Come at a Price” mission
  • Fixed NPCs and enemies getting stuck in missions like “The Boundary” and “Escape from the Cage”

Approximately 50 issues related to the open world experience have also been resolvedsuch as missing fast travel routes, hostile NPC behavior during Arena missions, and progression in various side missions.

Patch 1.0.1 represents an important step forward in improving the stability and playability of STALKER 2, fixing hundreds of issues reported by the community after launch. The developers continue to work to further refine the gaming experience in future releases.
