Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov commented on the VTsIOM poll about the best athletes in 2024, in which he took first place.
“To be honest, it’s nice to hear about this. Moreover, somehow stand somewhere next to Ovechkin – a truly great hockey player who should now break all NHL records, become the best and break Gretzky’s record. This is very cool,” Kostomarov is quoted as saying. Sport24.
He noted that he was pleased with the support of people, but he could not praise himself.
Total in the survey accepted participation of 1.6 thousand people aged 18 years and over.
Kostomarov and Washington captain Alexander Ovechkin topped the rating with 3% each.
It is noted that Russians for the second year in a row give preference to Kostomarov.
