Today is a special day, today is Teacher’s Day for millions of our teachers, we are here in a sense to celebrate this special day of our teachers, our most important assets who raise our children, who are the guarantee of our future, and who enlighten the future of our country. Of course, we are here to commemorate our teacher, Martyr Aybüke Yalçın, who gave her name to our Aybüke Yalçın Field. He was martyred in a heinous terrorist attack in 2017. Today, his teacher friends with whom he studied at university are here with us. We came here with them. Other than that SirnakIt is a more meaningful Teacher’s Day for us and our teacher friends working in . We had many people who strived for Turkey’s independence and progress and were martyred for this cause. One of their iconic names, our teacher Aybüke Yalçın, was martyred at the young age of 23. Here, as Turkish Petroleum Joint Stock Company and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, we are in a great struggle for our country’s energy independence. “The people whose names we keep alive while fighting this struggle, martyr Aybüke Yalçın, martyr Esma Çevik, martyr Lieutenant, today we are taking great steps towards Turkey’s energy independence in the Mediterranean fields,” he said.
‘WE HOPE TO REACH 70 THOUSAND BARRELS BY THE END OF THE YEAR’
Stating that they increased the production, which was 23 thousand barrels when they arrived before, to over 58 thousand barrels as of today. Minister Bayraktarsaid:
“We are progressing every day. We hope to reach 70 thousand barrels by the end of the year. The potential of the region is very large, that is why there has been terrorism here for years and we could not conduct searches in these regions due to terrorism. But now you see, we have built nearly 500 kilometers of roads in these mountains and we carry out this production in over 60 wells on these roads. We have started to produce Turkey’s highest quality oil here. We will continue with determination. Our country has paid many prices, but we see energy independence as a part of our country’s national security and we will continue our work for this cause here and elsewhere. This country has never bowed to terrorism and will never bow to it. “We will continue this struggle with all the institutions of our state, but with the prayers and power of our nation, hopefully making our internal front much stronger.”
