Oţelul Galati started the match bravely, having the first great opportunity in the 18th minute. Rus crossed perfectly for Pop, whose shot from the first was spectacularly rejected by the hosts’ goalkeeper, Buzbuchi.
The tense moment of the half came in the 22nd minute, when Bourard, already warned, committed a hard foul on Sîrbu, but escaped the second yellow card.
The Galatians continued to put pressure, and in the 27th minute, a confusing phase in the Lighthouse box was to end with an own goal by Marins. Farul responded timidly, without creating any real danger at Dur-Bozoancă’s goal.
After the break, the hosts seemed more motivated. In the 70th minute, Casap crossed perfectly for Rivaldinho, but the Brazilian failed to send the ball dangerously towards the goal.
The Galatians, however, did not give up the fight. Teles came close to scoring in the 86th minute, but his powerful shot from outside the box was blocked by Buzbuchi for a corner.
The match seemed to be headed for a clean draw, but the Galatasaray team continued to push. In the 90th + 1st minute, Teles tried again a shot placed at the far corner, but the ball went wide of the goal.
In the 90th+5th minute, the same Teles was in the right place, after Buzbuchi deflected Pop’s shot to the side. The Portuguese scored and brought all three points for Oțelul Galati.
For the moment, the Galatasarays climb to 9th place with 23 points, while Farul is on 11th, with 20 points.
