Stellantis announced European prices for Chinese electric models Leapmotor T03 and C10

The Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor, with the support of Stellantis, which holds a majority stake in the company, is starting to sell two new electric models in Europe.

Just a few months after Stellantis announced its plans to bring the Leapmotor to the European market, the prices for the two models have finally been revealed. The smaller city hatchback T03 on the European market starts from 18,900 euros (in Italy with a promotional discount of 17,900 euros), while the larger SUV model C10 costs 36,400 euros (in Italy 34,400 euros with a promotional discount included).

The 362 cm long Leapmotor T03 appeared in China back in 2020, while now in Europe it will face cheaper electric vehicles such as the Dacia Spring and the Citroen e-C3.

Despite its Chinese origins, the T03 will roll off the production line at Stellantis’ Tihi factory in Poland, adding a European touch to its credentials. The T03 has one electric motor with 70 kW/95 hp and 158 Nm of torque. The model with EU specifications comes equipped with a 37.3 kWh battery, which offers a WLTP range of 265 km.

Standard equipment includes an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, a rear camera and a host of ADAS features.

The Leapmotor C10 is a newer addition to the lineup, debuting in 2023. At 4,740mm long, it’s about the same size as the Tesla Model Y, but with a more affordable price tag. For its size, specs and features, the C10 still manages to be considered relatively affordable.

The SUV is powered by a single electric motor with 160 kW/218 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Stellantis claims that the 69.9 kWh battery provides up to 420 km of range in the WLTP cycle.

At launch, Stellantis will offer two different trims for the C10, called Style and Design. Both versions come well-equipped, boasting a digital cockpit with 10.25-inch and 14.6-inch screens, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof and sustainable upholstery materials. Up to 17 ADAS functions provide level 2 autonomy.

The first European deliveries of the Polish-made Leapmotor T03 hatchback should begin before the end of September, and the Chinese-made C10 will follow in mid-October. The automaker has ambitious plans, aiming to launch a new model every year for the next three years, gradually expanding its range across Europe.

By the end of 2024, Leapmotor models will be available in Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and Great Britain. After that, Leapmotor plans to expand to other markets, including the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia) and South America (Brazil and Chile).
