Stock Exchange Started the Week Flat | Borsa Istanbul News

BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week with a 0.01 percent increase at 9,686.89 points.

At the opening, BIST 100 index rose by 1.40 points and 0.01 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 9,686.89 points.

While the banking index lost 0.08 percent, the holding index gained 0.04 percent. The sector index that gained the most was informatics with 0.68 percent, and the one that fell the most was mining with 0.63 percent.

On Friday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which followed a buying-heavy trend, closed the day with a 1.73 percent increase in value at 9,685.49 points.

While global markets started the week cautiously, where the monetary policy decisions of major central banks, especially the US Federal Reserve (Fed), will be followed, domestic eyes turned to the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

Analysts stated that the budget balance in the country, the foreign trade balance in the Eurozone and the New York Fed manufacturing industry index data in the US will be followed today, and noted that from a technical perspective, the 9,750 and 9,850 levels in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while the 9,550 and 9,400 points are support.
