BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.05 percent increase at 11,144.59 points.
At the opening, BIST 100 index increased by 5.14 points and 0.05 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 11,144.59 points.
The banking index fell by 0.32 percent and the holding index fell by 0.11 percent. Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was the main metal industry with 1.61 percent, while the biggest loser was banking.
Following a horizontal course yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul completed the day with a 0.05 percent increase compared to the previous close at 11,139.46 points, breaking a closing record and reaching its highest level at 11,252.11 points.
Analysts said that a negative trend was observed in global stock markets due to increasing geopolitical risks and the selling pressure that started with technology stocks in the US stock exchanges and spread to the rest of the world.
Analysts stated that the international investment position and weekly money and banking statistics will be followed domestically today, and the current account balance data in the Eurozone abroad will be followed abroad, and noted that from a technical perspective, the resistance levels in the BIST 100 index are 11,250 and 11,350 points, while the support levels are 11,000 and 10,900.
