It took almost two full decades for Zagreb rock to destroy itself Stonebride embark on the adventure of shooting your first official video material ever! Track “Time and Tide” (according to the wishes of the band’s bassist Matije) and also the longest song from the new album “Smiles Revolutionary”, released in the first half of May 2024 for the PDV label. A masterful job in front of the camera was done by a special person and above all a great friend of the band (from the very beginning) Mr. Mario Dobrić. He coped phenomenally, and did his best (literally crawled) to make this video work. Also, without the vision, idea and above all the will of the digital camera magician Tvrtko (aka Vidokk) none of this would be possible. The shots were recorded in places around Karlovac, as well as in the basement of Zagreb’s Pločnik.
The transience of time, the search for the spirit, dealing with loss and mental health are just some of the motifs of the introspective lyrics of the song “Time and Tide”. In the age of modern madness (and technology), chaos, war horrors, life challenges and imposed social norms, man is slowly (but surely) increasingly losing touch with himself and the energy that sincerely motivates him. Individuality, the desire for creative expression and, above all, enthusiasm are the engines that make us feel ‘alive’. The fight does not stop, it just takes different forms. Let’s surrender to the tide…
Along with the premiere of the video, the guys are also starting concert promotions for the album “Smiles Revolutionary”, the first two announced appearances are on Friday, 25. 10.in Rijeka Palachu and a day later, 26. 10.in Pula To the wheel.
Stonebride were formed way back in 2005, intoxicated by the sounds of the emerging stoner doom scene with the mission of playing as many concerts and tours as possible. They rode hard on the roads all over Europe, opened or shared the stage with many giants of the genre, but also the fierce slowdowns from the beginning slowly graduated with new influences, dark psychedelia became their best friend, but also the sounds of growing up alternative rock in the 90s also found its place among their songs
