Idriss said Tinubu gave this instruction out of his “deep commitment to democracy” and without prejudice to the case against minors.
In Nigeria, 52 children were detained for raising the Russian flag during the protests held between 1 and 10 August against the increasing cost of living in the country after the removal of gasoline subsidies.
52 CHILDREN ARE ON TRIAL FOR 10 SEPARATE CRIMES
52 children aged 12-16, who were brought to court after being detained in the country for 4 months, are being tried for 10 separate crimes, including terrorism and attempting to overthrow the government.
While human rights organizations call for the release of the children, their families state that they cannot pay the bail fee determined by the court.
