With the Reno 13 and the 13 Pro, Oppo is updating its Reno series. The specs promise a strong middle class. A look at the details.
It was only in June that Oppo introduced the Reno 12 and 12 Pro for the global market. Now the Chinese manufacturer has not only presented a new tablet in its home market, but also the next Reno. We take a look at the equipment Reno 13 (Pro).
Oppo Reno 13 and 13 Pro: Technical features
Like its predecessor, the Oppo Reno 13 comes in an elegant design. The AMOLED display measures 6.59 inches and has a resolution of 2,760 x 1,256 pixels. The display of the Reno 13 Pro is slightly larger at 6.83 inches. The refresh rate is 120 Hz. With a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, both screens should be easy to read even in the sun. There is also a fingerprint sensor directly under the display.
The main camera with OIS and 50 MP is located in a rectangular camera module with strongly rounded edges. This is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The Pro model also has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The 50 MP front camera rounds off the camera equipment.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 works under the hood. It is supported by up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space. The battery has a capacity of 5,800 mAh for the Reno 13 Pro and 5,600 mAh for the normal 13. Fans of fast charging times can look forward to 80 watts of wired charging. If you prefer to charge wirelessly, you can do so with 50 watts. In addition, the housing is protected against dust and water according to IP68 and IP69.
Oppo Reno 13 (Pro): Price and availability
The price for the Reno 13 is the equivalent of 355 euros, the Reno 13 Pro is available from around 455 euros. Oppo has not yet commented on an international release. Given that this too Reno 12 and 12 Pro have made it to Germany, there is a good chance that both smartphones will also be offered in Germany at a later date.
