Memories of the food poisoning of 63 students caused by school lunches distributed to various schools in Lamia the previous school year, “awakened” with the story of a student in Komotini who found a cockroach in her school lunch.
Although last year’s incident in Lamia made stricter controls on the companies that supply school lunches to schools, it seems that this did not work in Komotini where a student found a cockroach trapped inside her bread.
The incredible incident was reported by the student’s mother who took a photo of the closed package to file a complaint according to xronos.gr.
The minor’s school lunch consisted of peas with potatoes and feta which luckily did not have any bugs in them.
A similar incident has not been reported so far, however, both the school and the student’s parents are asking for more security for their children.
