For the new model year, Subaru Chiffon also got a Chiffon Try version, which should be used for (short) trips outside the city.
Compared to the standard model, the 340 cm long Chiffon Try is richer in plastic protective elements, a different mask, roof rails, new wheels and a wider range of available colors (including Lake Blue metallic and Forest Khaki metallic colors, along with three two-tone combinations).
Electric sliding rear doors for easier entry and exit of the vehicle stand out.
Interior changes are modest, but include orange accents and water-resistant rear seatbacks. There’s also water-repellent upholstery and a fold-down front passenger seat, allowing the tiny Chiffon Try to accommodate long items.
Part of the equipment is a 9.0-inch screen, as well as a rear seat that moves by 240 mm to allow owners to maximize cargo space or rear legroom.
The drive is provided by a 660cc three-cylinder engine with 38 kW/52 hp and 60 Nm of torque. It is connected to a CVT transmission that sends power to the front wheels, but four-wheel drive is also available as an option.
Prices in Japan start at 1,765,000 yen (10,815 euros) for the basic version with front-wheel drive.
