Superman: Crew member commits suicide outside studio

According to information from Deadline, a woman who worked on the film “Superman” by James Gunn was the person who killed himself Wednesday at Trilith Studios near Atlanta.

As reported, police and medical personnel responded to a report of an “unconscious adult” in a vehicle on the studio lot around 6:47 a.m. on Wednesday. THE woman found dead from apparent self-inflicted wounds with a firearm. Police said they do not suspect foul play and that the investigation is not connected to any of the studio’s current projects. The vehicle was found in the workshop parking lot. According to sources, no filming was taking place at the time of the incident. Director James Gunn informed the crew that there would be counselors available if needed and announced that production would stop for the day, sending everyone home. Filming resumed the next day.
