Suzuki Motor Corporation announces its first participation at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2025, an event that will take place from January 7 to 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
CES is considered one of the most important technology events in the world – the meeting place for revolutionary technologies and innovators worldwide.
The theme of Suzuki’s exhibition is “The Impact of Small Innovations (the generation of small innovations that can cause big changes).
A focal point of the presentation will be the Super Carry, the flagship mini-truck that perfectly reflects this principle and which was produced and marketed in Japan. In addition, the concept of the Versatile micro e-Mobility Platform, which leverages the advanced electric wheelchair technology developed by Suzuki, will be on display.
Also highlighted will be our collaborations with partners Applied Electric Vehicles Ltd (Applied EV) and Glydways, Inc. (Glydways), by presenting their vehicles.
Through this exhibition, which highlights how small-scale production can contribute to the well-being of society and solve pressing social problems, we aim to establish links with partners who share our vision and initiate new projects for the future.
At the exhibition, visitors will be able to watch a film that introduces this Suzuki production philosophy, becoming familiar with it and the technologies that support it.
1. The Super Carry mini-truck
First launched in 1961, the Carry model has been usefully contributing to people’s lives for over 60 years and is a representative model for Suzuki. Discover Suzuki’s production philosophy of “小・少・軽・短・美 (Sho-Sho-Kei-Tan-Bi)” through the Super Carry, equipped with a spacious interior and safe cargo volume.
2. The concept of the versatile micro e-Mobility platform
This concept applies electric wheelchair technology developed by Suzuki over the years to provide the chassis for various robots. Together with our partners, we aim to solve problems in different fields using robots that combine technologies such as autonomous driving and artificial intelligence with this platform.
The LM-A automatic delivery robot from LOMBY Inc. will be exhibited. and the V3 snow removal drone from everblue Technologies INC., developed on the basis of the Versatile micro e-Mobility Platform concept.
3. Applied EV
Applied EV is a technology company that, in collaboration with Suzuki, has developed a small electric autonomous platform specialized in work mobility. The Generation 6 Blanc Robot, which will be on display, is designed to improve logistics efficiency and address the global driver shortage in industrial sectors. The Applied EV platform meets the highest safety standards and is optimized for mass production, paving the way for the widespread adoption of autonomous vehicles in commercial applications.
4. Glydways
Glydways is developing an urban transport system with small, fully autonomous vehicles that travel on dedicated lanes. This scalable, on-demand solution reduces transport infrastructure costs compared to conventional public transport while providing equitable access to sustainable mobility.
Designed to provide an exceptional passenger experience, the system meets the needs of emerging countries with growing populations, congested urban areas in developed countries and a world seeking to reduce environmental degradation.
