Suzuki Invites 111 Teachers from 87 Vocational Schools to Visit Factory in Cikarang

Suzuki Indonesia collaborates with 111 teachers from 87 Vocational High Schools (SMK) from various regions in Indonesia

DAPURPACUID – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has Corporate Social Responsibility activities for the education sector, developing quality Human Resources (HR).

With the potential for brilliant economic growth towards the target of a Golden Indonesia in 2045, domestic industry players need an active role to increase the knowledge, skills and competencies of the younger generation evenly. Among other things, through assistance with the Vocational program which has just been implemented.

Suzuki Indonesia collaborated with 111 teachers from 87 Vocational High Schools (SMK) from various regions such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Lampung, and Jambi.

“This collaboration with Vocational Schools has been going on for the last 9 years, with the hope of creating synergy between the world of education and the automotive industry. “We believe that vocation is the key to creating quality human resources to face future challenges,” said Joshi Prasetya, Department Head of Strategic Planning at PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS).

“Thanks to improving the abilities of the younger generation, we will not only strengthen the local economy, but also build a solid foundation for national growth,” he added.

One of them is by holding the “Suzuki Product and Technology Training & Suzuki Plant Tour for Vocational School Teachers” program. This Vocational Program invites teachers from partner vocational schools to visit the Suzuki Cikarang factory, from 30 September to 8 October 2024.

Hariadi, Asst. to Aftersales Department Head of Service PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), who was also involved, added, “Through the Vocational program, Suzuki Indonesia hopes to create competent teaching staff who understand the latest technology, especially Suzuki’s, in order to overcome the gap between the world of education and the world of work. “Armed with the knowledge from this visit, it is hoped that the teachers can equip vocational school students with skills according to industry needs, as well as being confident in facing the next challenges.” (dpid/BGS)
