DAPURPACUID – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) brought a surprise to the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW), by launching the Jimny 5-door White Rhino Edition, Friday.
A new and different variant of the iconic 4×4 SUV is presented which is inspired by the toughness and strength of a Rhinoceros. The difference between the regular type is the addition of accessories to increase the impression of exclusivity.
4W Sales & Marketing Director of PT SIS, Matsushita Ryohei said, since its launch last year, the Jimny 5-door has become a new idol and choice for offroad 4×4 lovers.
“At the GJAW 2024 moment, we are proud to introduce one of the newest variants of the legendary product, namely the Jimny 5-door White Rhino, which is inspired by the Rhino animal,” explained Matsushita.
Since its debut in Indonesia in 2019, it is claimed that the latest Jimny has continued to steal the public’s attention. Especially when the 5-door version is presented, customers get another choice.
This is seen from the practicality of passenger access and luggage storage accommodation of up to 211 liters. From its history in Indonesia, this is the first time Suzuki has produced a special edition for the 4th generation Jimny.
In the Jimny 5-door White Rhino Edition, Suzuki said it was more than just a refresh. There are five special touches included, including the front bumper under and side under garnish.
Others include the chrome door visor and door handle garnish, which adds an elegant impression to the appearance. Meanwhile, at the stern there is a spare tire cover with the Rhino logo.
Interestingly, this variant is finished in Pearl Arctic White which cannot be found on the regular Jimny 5-door variant, and is only available in that color.
Apart from that, there are no changes whatsoever, apart from the features and performance of the engine, which is still equipped with the K15B type with a capacity of 1,500 cc, but it is claimed to still be fuel efficient.
Including AllGrip Pro technology as the main weapon for four-wheel drive. Its capabilities are maximized thanks to the embedding of Traction Control and Brake LSD to provide grip as needed.
Its toughness in off-road terrain is thanks to the Hill Descent Control and Hill Hold Assist features. With long dimensions of 3,965 mm, it feels proportional with an approach angle of 36 degrees and a departure angle of 47 degrees.
On the comfort side, there is a 9-inch touch screen head unit supported by smartphone connections, rear view camera along with 4-spot parking sensors. Plus 6 side airbags for the safety sector.
Matsushita emphasized that consumers can order the Jimny 5-door White Rhino since the opening of the GJAW 2024 exhibition and it is certain that there will be no pivots.
“Suzuki Indonesia is ready to welcome the enthusiasm of prospective owners of the Jimny 5-door White Rhino. “Having this edition will feel special and special,” concluded Matsushita.
