News24 have previously spoken to Jannyke Juhnell-Bengtsson, store manager at a Systembolaget store in Stockholm, who told about three common occasions when they have to refuse a customer to buy alcohol. This is against the backdrop of the Alcohol Act. The occasions are:
- If the customer is assumed to have reason to pass on the alcohol.
- If the customer is noticeably affected by alcohol or any other intoxicant.
- If the customer cannot prove that they are 20 years or older.

Then you get your money back
It is easy to buy more than you actually drink. If this is the case, Systembolaget has developed a solution. They then invite you to return the drink to any Systembolaget store and get your money back.
“Within 30 days of your purchase, you can bring the receipt, your drinks and the card you bought with to any Systembolaget store“, writes in a post on Facebook.
They go on to explain that the item needs to be clean and unopened for the return to go through. Then the drink ends up on the sales shelf again.
