Talking Heads in the early days

Ah, the power of Stranger Things. The selection of the famous Psycho Killer within the soundtrack of the essential series undoubtedly gave the impetus to reissue the band’s first album to David Byrne from which came what is one of their biggest hits. Because Talking Heads in 2024 we especially remember the futuristic Remain in Light, explosive alliance between cold wave and afro music. But this very copious and relevant reissue allows us to already hear the beginnings of this revolution through this new wave with a clear, falsely naive line, without which Vampire Weekend and LCD Soundsystem would never have existed. Very attractive, the new vinyl version is available in four LPs (the original version, a collection of unreleased and alternative takes and a double live at CBGB recorded on October 10, 1997 in New York), but also four tasty reproductions of 45- tours from the same era, plus an 80-page booklet that tells almost everything about this heroic era. And if you’re a really big fan, it’s also possible to purchase a t-shirt, hoodie or bucket hat bearing the image of this famous album. The Talking Heads are a successful business.
