Hockey players New Jersey Devils with Slovakian forward Tomáš Tatar lost on Saturday night in the overseas NHL against the New York Islanders 3:4 after overtime.

Defender Šimon Nemec did not make it to the home team again and was only a healthy substitute. Bo Horvat scored the winning goal in the 61st minute. Edmonton beat Pittsburgh 4-0, goalkeeper Stuart Skinner made 27 saves and earned his first clean sheet of the season.

Of the Slovaks, only Tatar started, who did not prevent New Jersey’s fourth and third loss in a row. The 33-year-old winger was the team’s second least used player, spent 7 minutes and 25 seconds on the ice, recorded one shot and three hits.

After the return of Luke Hughes and Brett Pesce, the German again did not fit on the Devils’ roster. New Jersey lost three times in the match, but they always got ahead of the opponent. Jesper Bratt equalized 3:3 89 seconds before the end of the third period.

The Swede also had an assist in the match. However, the hero was Horvat, who beat Jake Allen with a shot from the first after a pass from Mathew Barzal. Visiting players Kyle Palmieri and Brock Nelson had a 1+1 record.

Edmonton won the third of the past five duels and did not concede for the first time this year. It was caused by Skinner, who achieved the fifth clean sheet in the pro league. Evan Bouchard and Mattias Ekholm scored the same goal and assists, Viktor Arvidsson had a balance of 0+3.

Leon Draisaitl scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute. The star Connor McDavid did not score in the home jersey. The Penguins failed for the fourth time in a row.

After five losses at the beginning of the season, Nashville achieved its second consecutive victory. Although he had a two-goal deficit on the ice of Chicago after accurate hits by Craig Smith and Connor Bedard, the Predators equalized in the second period.

In the 34th minute, Filip Forsberg reduced the score, and shortly after that, Gustav Nyquist made it 2:2 with his 200th goal in the regular season. Brady Skjei completed the turnover during the power play.

Vegas also succeeded in the fifth home game. The Golden Knights lost three times in the meeting (0:2, 2:3 and 3:4), but in the third period they broke the opposition’s resistance with three goals in 85 seconds.

First, Tomáš Hertl tied the score at 4:4 on the power play, Keegan Kolesar put the hosts in the lead for the first time a minute later, and Ivan Barbašev adjusted the result with a shot into an empty goal.
