The new Kiel “Tatort” team will be in front of the camera for two crime films until mid-December. The double episode “Among Friends / Among Enemies” is expected to be broadcast on Das Erste on two Sundays in a row in 2026. In the future, the 43-year-old actress Karoline Schuch (“The Second Wave”) as police psychologist Elli Krieger will form a new “crime scene” duo with Almila Bagriacik (34) alias Chief Inspector Mila Sahin.
Schuch succeeds Axel Milberg, who is saying goodbye to his role as Commissioner Klaus Borowski after more than 20 years Crime series takes. His last case, “Borowski and the Head of Medusa,” will be broadcast in 2025. Schuch, who lives in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, had already appeared as a guest star in the Kiel “Tatort” case “Borowski and the House of Ghosts” in 2018.
“Tatort” filming in Kiel
Filming for the new team’s double episode will continue until December 15th in Kiel, in other locations in Schleswig-Holstein and in Hamburg. Grimme Prize winner Lars Kraume directs. He had already staged Borowski’s last case.
Commissioner Mila Sahin has applied to succeed Detective Inspector Roland Schladitz (Thomas Kügel), who is being promoted to police chief. She knows her new colleague, Inspector Anna Nowak (the main role in the episode is Lilith Stangenberg) from their days at the police school in Berlin.
According to NDR, a complex case presents the new duo with a tough test. During their joint investigation into the mysterious death of a young woman (played by Julia Goldberg), Sahin has to undergo a psychological assessment by police psychologist Krieger. The victim was apparently drowned in his own bathroom and dragged to the Kiel Fjord. At first everything looks like an economic crime.
