This announcement made during the CES 2025 show in Las Vegas allows the brand to expand its offering in the video market. Traditionally known for its televisions, will soon offer two models of video projectors with the PlayCube which follows an announcement published at the end of last year about a very compact model, the A1.

What are the best inexpensive video projectors in 2025?

An original design for flexible use

The PlayCube consists of two distinct parts: a cube which houses the projection system, and a rectangular base integrating the speakers. The originality lies in its swivel mechanism which allows the projection to be oriented in different directions without requiring additional support. This modular approach not only facilitates transport but also offers great flexibility of use.

The projector runs on a rechargeable battery, which makes it completely autonomous for outdoor projections or in spaces without electrical outlets. Its compact size allows it to be easily transported, thus meeting the needs of nomadic users.

A projector under Google TV

The PlayCube integrates the Google TV operating system, providing access to many applications and streaming services. Although TCL has not yet revealed the full technical specifications, we can expect similar performance to the TCL A1. As a reminder, the latter offers Full HD 1080p resolution, a brightness of 360 lumens and can project images from 45 to 120 inches.

In the portable projector market, the PlayCube will face established competition, notably the Samsung The Freestyle 2 or the Anker Nebula Capsule 3, for example.
