While the Xiaomi 15 series was expected to launch shortly after Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip on October 21, surprisingly we still have very little information about Xiaomi’s upcoming flagships, especially the standard model. Today this situation is changing.
Fortunately, source Yogesh Brar shared the key specifications of Xiaomi 15. The phone reportedly features a 6.36-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with the same size and resolution as the Xiaomi 14.
While it hasn’t said anything about brightness, a previous rumor claimed that the Xiaomi 15 series will launch the TCL Huaxing C9 display panel, which can reach a higher brightness and deliver more accurate colors. So it is possible that the Xiaomi 15 series will offer a higher brightness than its predecessor.
The device is expected to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite) chipset and a 5,500mAh battery. While this is still relatively smaller than rivals like the OPPO Find X8 or vivo X200 Pro Mini, it’s a big jump over its predecessor’s 4610mAh capacity. 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support is also among the rumors.
Coming to the cameras, the phone is said to pack a triple 50MP setup at the back with OV50H main sensor and 3.2X telephoto.
The OV50H offers exceptional low-light and autofocus performance with 1.2 micron (µm) pixel (DCG) technology in a 1/1.3-inch optical format.
The Xiaomi 15 series is also expected to be released with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 operating system based on Android 15.
