DAPURPACUID – The competition event between Vocational High School (SMK) students majoring in automotive, Tekiro Mechanic Competition 2025, officially started this month.
PT Altama Surya Anugerah through the Tekiro brand, an automotive tool brand in Indonesia, continues to hold this event as a form of support for the vocational sector, especially the automotive industry.
The main aim of this competition is to inspire young people in the field of automotive engineering, hone their technical skills and prepare them to face the challenges of the world of work.
Simultaneously with the announcement of the 2025 Tekiro Mechanic Competition, Tekiro also carried out socialization roadshows to a number of vocational schools on the island of Java.
“This annual event is a manifestation of the company’s commitment to supporting the development of the automotive world in Indonesia, as well as implementing the company’s CSR activities,” said Hery, Marketing Department Head of Tekiro.
Hery explained that the number of participants taking part in this event continues to increase every year. In 2024, the number of students registering will reach 58,886 people from 377 schools.
This figure increased by more than 300 percent from the previous year. For 2025, Tekiro is targeting 60,000 students to register from 500 vocational schools throughout Indonesia.
The competition is planned to be held in several stages, namely the preliminary round which will be held online next March to determine the 30 best vocational schools.
Schools that qualify will be invited to take part in the Semifinal and Final rounds which are scheduled to be held on April 26-27 2025, at Tekiro’s head office in Jakarta.
This round is designed to test various aspects of students’ skills as a result of applying learning at school, including:
1. Engine Diagnostics: Participants are asked to identify and repair technical problems with the vehicle;
2. Measurement and Repair: Participants are tested in their ability to measure standard engine parts and repair electrical systems on vehicles;
3. Creativity and Innovation: Assessment of the innovative solutions implemented by participants in solving technical challenges.
The Tekiro Mechanic Competition is not just a competition, it is also a place to hone skills, expand networks and gain opportunities in the world of work. Later, participants will compete for various attractive prizes such as:
– Rolling trophies and Tekiro Mechanic Competition trophies;
– Cash totaling up to hundreds of millions of rupiah;
– Tekiro brand automotive and repair equipment;
– Free pass to become an employee of a well-known company;
– Certificate.
Registration has been open since the Roadshow event was held until February 28 2025. Schools wishing to participate can register via the Tekiro Mechanic Competition Contact Center at 0821-1320-5162.
This event is supported by various parties such as educational institutions, the Department of Education and brands supporting the automotive industry such as Eneos Oil, Planet Ban, Bengkel B-Quik, Bendix Brake Pads and Otoproject.
“It is also hoped that this event can encourage innovation in solving technical vehicle problems, as well as inspire the younger generation to pursue a career in the automotive sector,” said Novitasari, Brand Marketing Manager of Tekiro.
With the presence of the Tekiro Mechanic Competition again, it is hoped that vocational school students majoring in automotive will be more enthusiastic about learning, innovating and developing their potential.
