But if even the sobering up of the country recorded by Rospotrebnadzor does not contribute to the solution of the population reproduction issues, then this indicates that the fight against drunkenness is losing one of its main guidelines and indicators.

This does not mean that alcohol consumption can now be considered as the most dangerous social challenge or, even more so, that alcohol can be called upon as an ally to correct the demographic problem. In any case, the less citizens buy alcoholic beverages, the more actively the economy develops with import substitution. But this means that the birth rate problem needs to be addressed comprehensively, taking into account all the negative factors, and not just those that are obvious and discussed out loud.
