Telegram Desktop Now Offers Windows ARM Support

The official Telegram Desktop application has been available for the Windows PC platform for several years now. Now Telegram Desktop is also available for Windows ARM PCs.

Telegram has started working on a Windows ARM version based on a feature request on its GitHub page. They could not progress further due to technical problems. After a few fixes from Microsoft, they were able to successfully compile the source codes for the Windows ARM platform. Now available as part of v5.7.2 from here You can download it.

Microsoft is slowly but steadily working to improve compatibility issues in Windows ARM for developers. In the latest Canary Channel Insider Preview release, Microsoft added a major feature update to its Prism emulator for Windows ARM. This update will allow more 64-bit x86 (x64) applications to run under emulation.

Microsoft has already released this new Prism update in the recently released Windows 11 24H2 to enable Adobe Premiere Pro 25 to run on Windows on ARM PCs. With this new Canary build, Microsoft is expanding this capability to all x64 applications under emulation. Some games and creative applications that did not run on ARM PCs due to CPU requirements will now run using the latest Prism update.
